How it Works
Users register and create a Hukoma account.
A user photo is optionally uploaded. Users can “Find”,
“Invite”, “Connect”, or “Disconnect” with other users. Users can Create
Personal Categories and
Classes of Items or
Events in the Categories.
In the “Add Item” mode,
Attachments, Documents and Links
can be incorporated as a part of the created Items or Events.
“Private”, “Public”, and “Surprise”
privacy settings can be set with optional reminders. Specific contacts to share
the information with are selected for each item or event from a list of contact
names. Event time settings can be selected along with
“Rating” and “Action Required”
settings. Detailed descriptions of the items or events can be incorporated as desired.
The information can be reviewed in the “View Info”
mode.The history of the items or events, ratings and quantities is displayed and
comments can be posted by the users that have the rights to view the information.
Metrics are calculated and tracked by the program for each item or event with an
option for “Notify me of Updates”. Users
can set the items or events settings to “open”, “complete”,
or “reject”. A list of sponsors can be searched
optionally using “keywords” based on the
needs of the users. Available promotions, discounts, coupons, donations to charity,
and other sponsor attributes to the Hukoma
users may be optionally reviewed as required. Items can be reviewed in the main
color coding is used to track
“Action Taken”, and
“New-Information Only” items in the Dashboard. The total number
of each item/event is tracked in the Dashboard for each user and category.
A SEARCH feature allows for the users to
find items or events that match specific keywords for information specifically shared
with them by other users. A CALENDAR feature
permits the tracking of items or events using calendar dates. Communication with
selected users is possible using the “MESSAGE”
feature of Hukoma. Messages between users
are private and are sent within Hukoma only.
However, notifications are sent to the email addresses of the users to alert them
that there is a message waiting for them at Hukoma.
Future additions will further enhance the current features of the program and add
new features such as “Chatting” and others.
Brief Instructions of Use - Help:
Log into Hukoma. Create User profile. Upload
optional photo. Clicking onto the “Hukoma” logo or onto the browser’s back arrow
brings you to the Hukoma dashboard. This is the main screen of the program. Click
onto the “Find” button to search for your
contacts into the system.Type the requested information and click on the
“Find” button to execute the command. “Connect”
or “Disconnect” from the user list displayed.
Use the “Invite Friends” button to send an
email to the users you wish to invite to use Hukoma with you. You can use the browser’s
back or forward arrow to navigate through the Hukoma screens. You can equally click
on the “Hukoma” logo to reload the main Dashboard
screen. Be patient as this requires the loading of all existing information and
the calculation of all pertinent ratings and statistics.
Click on the “Categories” black bar on the
left of the Dashboard screen. This will open the Categories screen. Here, you can
review the available Classes under each Category.

Category of your choice. This will open the list of
Classes with all items or events already present. Click the
“Add Item” or “View Info”
buttons to add/create or review items.The “x”
character deletes an item. ADD ITEM: Add
a Title, Event, Rating, Contact, Reminder, Privacy,
and Description details for the new item/event you want to create.
“Private” is the default setting. “Public”
shares information with all Hukoma users that are connected with you. Click on the
Insert/Edit URL link to add a link to a desired
Internet site. Documents can be attached by using the
“Browse” button. Click the “ADD ITEM”
button to save the information.
It permits you to review the information of the item or event. You can view the
attachments of the item and the links to the Internet websites. You can post your
comments to this item and incorporate your ratings.You can set the item to the “open”, “complete”, or
“reject” value. You can then “Update”
the item. Quantity, can be used when a series
of the same items needs to be used. In this screen, you can also search for Sponsors, using keywords of your choice as
they relate to the topic of the item. The average “Rating”
for each item is shown in the “Class” summary
screen. You can review the items created by each user in each category by clicking
on the photo of the user in the Class screen.This
will display the items created by the selected user only and which are shared with

Category or navigate back to the Dashboard using the browser’s arrows
or by clicking on the Hukoma logo. On the Dashboard
screen, you can click directly on the red, black, or blue number of your
choice to review and comment on the item created and shared specifically with you
by the user. This is equivalent to viewing items from the Class screen. You can
click on the “Sponsors” to search or obtain
additional information. By clicking on the magnifying lens, you can obtain additional
information about the promotions provided by the various sponsors.
A “SEARCH” feature is available to allow
finding items shared by other users with you (including your own items) using selected
key words.Clicking on the items opens the review window. Here you can post comments
and ratings if needed.
The “MESSAGES” features allow you to send
messages to other users. You can select from a list of available users. You can
select more than one users at the same time by using the ctl/shift keys. You can
review your messages by clicking the more
button. Enhancements to the “Messages” and
other features are planned.
