Hukoma Privacy Policy

The default privacy setting at Hukoma for all items and events is private in which case information can be shared only with a selected list of people you create for each item or event. This is one of the most important features of Humoma. You can however share your information with all Hukoma users by selecting the public setting option. No Hukoma information is released to the world wide web.

An important feature of Hukoma is the option of disconnecting completely from the profiles of specific individual users, if desired. Re-connecting however will require the creation of new shared items as all previous shared history will be erased during the disconnection.

This Privacy Policy describes Hukoma's policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information.

Registration Information: When you create or reconfigure a Hukoma profile, you provide personal information, such as your name, username, password, email address, address and telephone number. This information remains confidential with Hukoma and is not disclosed to any other parties.

Privacy Settings: Your first and/or family name is used to identify you at Hukoma and is shown along with your photo in the dashboard and other program sections for other users to recognize you. The use of a photo is optional. Your email address is used to send you reminders for new items, events or messages received for you at Hukoma and to invite other users that you wish to become users of Hukoma and connect with you using Hukoma.

All information you provide to us is information that remains personal and is only shared by you with the Hukoma users that you specifically designate in the contacts list and who you allow to share individual items or events with. You are solely responsible for the selection of the individual users you allow to share your information with.

The Hukoma default privacy setting is “private”. The main emphasis of Hukoma is to provide completely private and personal settings for all items or events. It does however allow for the sharing of selected items with all other Hukoma users which can potentially be disseminated to the wider public domain. You must use utter caution when selecting the privacy setting. Although Hukoma has the default privacy setting as “private” your choice to select the “public” option indicates that this is indeed your option and you are solely responsible for your selection. Similarly you are solely responsible for the list of contacts that you select and decide to share your items or events with. Hukoma allows for the re-selection or editing of the list of contact users to share the item/event information with but it is your responsibility to select the desired list of contacts. The “surprise” privacy option permits the creation of an item or event for a specific person that you don’t want to know about it, but at the same time you want a list of other users to know about. An example would be a surprise birthday party. In that example, the selection of the “surprise” option can inform a list of selected contacts about the plan, time and place of the surprise birthday party but it does not allow the celebrating person to know about the surprise. Another example would be the collection of a gift list for a selected user.
